Policies

Hello, wonderful person who would like to be featured on my blog! This is my review policy, and I'd be really grateful if you could please read through it carefully before submitting your book for review.

Will you review my book?
If it's YA or NA and I like the sound of it, then I'd love to! Due to the sheer number of books I want to get through, I unfortunately can't accept every review request I receive, but I will thoroughly consider all requests.

I will happily accept ARCs and finished copies for review. ARC reviews can be posted within a time frame set by the author/publisher or at a time suitable for the release date. I cannot give a guaranteed review date for books that are not ARCs, but I will add them to my TBR pile and get to them as soon as I can. I aim to have reviews posted within a month of receiving the book. Alternatively, if you're a publisher and would like to add me to your blogger mailing list, then simply drop me an email to let me know the details.

I mostly review YA books on this blog, unless it's an adult/children's book I specifically want to read, so please do not send me requests for anything other than YA or NA. I will still consider requests for Biography/Non-Fiction if I think it will appeal to YA readers. Also, if I've reviewed and enjoyed books by an author before, I will sometimes review their other work regardless of the genre/age-range. I don't usually review novellas, unless it's part of a series I have previously read.

What's included in a review?

  • Cover Image
  • Details of Book (publishing date, pages etc)
  • Goodreads Synopsis
  • Overall Rating
  • Links to where the book can be purchased if requested
  • Review posted on Goodreads & Amazon (it can be published on other sites if specified)

I am always 100% honest in all of my reviews and I include a rating out of five overall. Whilst I'm honest, I'm never purposefully cruel or rude about a story. I am keen to highlight the strong points within every book I read because I know that whilst I, personally, might not enjoy a certain story, somebody else certainly will.

What would make you more likely to review my book?
I'm not a fussy reader when it comes to genre. As long as it's YA, if it sounds appealing then I'm in. At the moment I'm especially enjoying fantasy, supernatural, and magical realism stories. I'm also on the lookout for more stories that include LGBT+ main characters. I am always wanting more diverse books, so feel free to throw requests for them my way! PLEASE NOTE: I am currently without an e-reader, so I'm less likely to read eBook copies at the moment.

Do you want to interview me?
I WOULD LOVE TO. Don't hesitate to ask about interviews. I'm a journalism graduate, so interviews are my thing! Also, if I don't have time to review your book, or I just have too many books to read at the present time, I would still be happy to post an interview with you, if you'd like!

That's cool. So how about other types of promotion, like guest posts, cover reveals, and blog tours?
Yep, yep, and yep. I'm always happy to participate in book promotions. Whatever you have in mind, just drop me an email and let me know.
